ESTIMATOR REQUIRED - ASPHALT & CIVIL WORKS 

We are looking for a well presented, committed, experienced and motivated individual with a positive attitude who takes pride in their work to join our team.

Renumeration will be subject to experience.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to estimate for future works. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be accountable for meeting customers and quoting work, contributing to the Companies success.

Your duties will include -

Site inspections and scoping of works.
Obtaining accurate and detailed information.
Source competitive prices from Suppliers.
Prepare cost estimates to include labour, plant & machinery, sub-contractors and materials.
Assist with adhoc estimating and administrative duties within the office environment.
Prepare accurate take-offs of quantities.
Assist with project management of works as required.
Administration of daily paperwork.
It would be preferable that you have worked previously within the Asphalt Industry. However, should this not be the case then you must be prepared to spend time on the job with an Asphalt Crew in order to learn aspects of laying Asphalt to assist with estimating.

Experience Requirements -

Experience within the Asphalt Industry is desirable.

Skill Requirements -

An advantage -

Sound technical knowledge of Asphalt materials and laying processes is an advantage
Experience in all aspects of Asphalt Paving & Profiling machinery is an advantage

Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Good problem solving skills and be able to make informed decisions.
Strong written, verbal and computer skills a must.
Be able to multi task and have a can do attitude.
Be able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
Be alert and observant with an eye for detail.
Must have a current drivers licence and willing to provide a good driving record in order to gain the position.
