ASPHALT CREW LABOURER

About the Business and the Role-

Ozpave is an established and experienced Asphalt, Concrete & Civil Contractor. Our work is varied, we are busy and always looking for experienced Asphalters to join our team.

The role is full-time, you will be working 5 days per week plus overtime and, in addition Saturday, Sunday & night work (as required).  

The role will commence with a standard 6 month probation period. Throughout this time you will be paid as a casual employee with a view of being made permanent thereafter.  A permanent position may be offered at the time of the interview or earlier than the 6 month probation, depending on the Applicants experience and at Management’s discretion.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities-

The position we have available is for an Asphalter and/or a Skidsteer Operator experienced in laying Asphalt.

To be considered for this role you must possess the following skills, knowledge, and experience-

• You must have proven experience and be willing to work as part of a team.
• A truck license is an advantage.
• You will be expected to be able to multi-task and to carry out general and varied labouring duties as required on an Asphalt Crew.
• Your skills and experience will determine what position you may hold within the crew.

Depending on the Applicants and your experience you may be required to drive a company truck to and from site/s each day or on occasion. In which case you may be responsible for the vehicle and the transporting of others. This may also include the picking up of materials and delivering to site when required. 

Please note- to assist in Workplace Safety and as a condition of employment with our company, Drug & Alcohol testing will be carried out on a regular basis.

Skills and Experience-

You must have proven Asphalt experience.

A current driver’s license and reliable transport to get to and from our yard are essential. You must be able to drive a manual vehicle. No license no start!

A current truck license is an advantage and must be either HR, MR or HC. 

You must hold an Industry OHS induction White card.

You must provide a reliable and proven driving record.

You must be an Australian Citizen.

Non-smoker preferred.

Job Perks-

Regular Overtime when available.

Monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO) accrued.

Christmas shut down holiday period of 2-3 weeks each year.
